They've been able to do it for a couple of years now - they just have never shown the guts to do it.

I still can't see Liverpool mounting a serious challenge for the title - yes they've spent lots of money but the team still looks like a hotch potch of people they could buy rather than people they want.

Going down, I reckon Derby, Wigan and Bolton. Derby purely because they look least well placed to stay up - but they could do a Reading or a Wigan. Wigan because they should have gone down last season if Sheffield United hadn't been so useless.

Bolton will be the car crash of the season. Nailed to the bottom, Sammy will be sacked in November. A panic appointment in December will result in the board throwing a lot of money at the new manager only for him to be unable to attract anyone decent in the transfer window.

I can't wait.Graham Sibleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00888599610761558508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10399764.post-54635331674180117782007-08-09T12:21:00.000+01:002007-08-09T12:21:00.000+01:00Not a bad shout for the champ promotion places.I r...Not a bad shout for the champ promotion places.

I rather fancy Derby, Fulham and Wigan to come down.

Wigan were pathetic most of last season and have opted to shore up their defence with Titus Bramble.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
