English football needs to take a look at itself.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10399764.post-34585643452687135282008-04-10T18:29:00.000+01:002008-04-10T18:29:00.000+01:00True. Of course, Arsenal have thrashed both Milan teams at the San Siro in the last couple of years.200percenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14645801159434664430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10399764.post-15294282817786913452008-04-10T16:43:00.000+01:002008-04-10T16:43:00.000+01:00Having seen off Internazionale without seeming to ...Having seen off Internazionale without seeming to break into too much of a sweat in the last sixteen of the European Cup

I think Arsenal beat Milan. Not Inter. Unless, of course, you are referring to Livepool.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10399764.post-88067916516520433332008-04-10T09:06:00.000+01:002008-04-10T09:06:00.000+01:00The press never like to be made fools of: they tol...The press never like to be made fools of: they told us at the beginning of the season that Arsenal would be nothing without Henry and finally they've been proved right.

Yes they've run out of steam - their players look shattered and the squad about as deep as a footballer's chat-up technique. But this general malaise has also coincided with an awful run of luck: a last minute penalty against Birmingham for a tackle which while clumsy, Clichy still got a fair connection with the ball; denied a perfectly legitimate winning goal against Boro; the refusal of a clear penalty at the Emirates coupled with Babel's tumble in front of the Kop. And then there's Chelsea's first goal.

Arsenal have been on the receiving end of huge amounts of good fortune over the years (including this season). What's happened over the past month or so isn't a damning indictment of Wenger's strategy - just maybe football leveling itself out.

Who knows, maybe it'll happened to ManU and Liverpool one day. But I can't see it.

Oh yes, and they've actually won two doubles in that period.Graham Sibleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00888599610761558508noreply@blogger.com
